As part of the training and learning during this course, photography and/or video recording of participants in action will be done. 


This 2 Days (20-hour) programme includes:

  • 16 hours of Instructor-Led Learning (2 days x 8 hours), and
  • 4 hours of Asynchronous E-learning (Self-paced; to be completed before Day 2 of the course)


This programme is accredited by IHRP for CPD hours

Programme leader

Derek Tan is a IHRP Master Professional with more than 25 years of professional HR experience in the entire suite of HR functions including the design and development of talent management, performance management, career development, capability development and total rewards systems.

Derek is currently a consultant and trainer. He was the Vice-President of HR in Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd overseeing the strategic HR planning and human capital development for the entire resort. He had previously worked many years in the Singapore Public Service, having been the HR leader in Singapore Tourism Board, Central Provident Fund Board and the Civil Service College.

His extensive work experiences in the public and private sectors include rationalising manpower costs through organization re-design, job redesign and workforce productivity measures, enhancing organisational learning culture through inception of virtual learning academies with competency roadmaps & priority frameworks, improving employee experience through digitalisation of HR processes, raising the company’s EVP through deliberate HR policy re-think and career & salary re-design, and strengthening HR governance through education & continuous assessment.  


Martin Lee holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lancaster University Management School (UK) and is a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

He also holds an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and is a certified PROSCI Change Practitioner, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory (SII), as well as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF). 

With more than 15 years of corporate and regional HR experience spanning the public sector, health care, Oil & Gas, and EdTech industries, Martin is a passionate trainer and facilitator who seeks to create a learning environment in his workshops where learners discover, engage, internalise and are able to benefit practically from what they have learnt. Martin was a speaker at SHRM’s Global HR conferences in Chicago (2018) and Las Vegas (2019), and has served as a Subject Matter Expert in SHRM’s exam development efforts since 2016. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, nature walks and volunteering as a career coach with the Catholic Business Network.
