In this VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world, we must strive to be employable and useful beyond our chosen occupation and economically active years. Critical therefore is having the mental dexterity to be responsive to the constant waves of changes.

That was the message that Dr Lee Kwok Cheong, Chief Executive Officer, SIM Holdings, had for the SIM-University of Southampton graduates at their graduation ceremony on 11 January at the SIM HQ campus.

Dr Lee also encouraged the graduates to discover themselves and their passion in order to achieve their full potential.

Valedictorian Lelia Wee had a motivational note for her fellow graduates. “As Albert Einstein once said - 'You never fail until you stop trying.' Mistakes give us valuable experiences to learn from and improve and it is through these mistakes that we grow as a person...As we embark on the new chapter of our lives, we have to remember - a degree is only a stepping stone for us to achieve success. I strongly believe that the answer to success lies in our attitudes, values and willpower to stay focused on our goals and be consistent in our efforts,” she told them.
