The SGTech Cybersecurity Chapter Sharing and Network event was held for the first time in SIM GE on 17 May 2018. Together with SGTech, the Chapter and SIM GE hosted a group of 80 graduating students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The Chapter aims to promote cybersecurity professionalism, and develop talent in Singapore and other regions.

At the event, the students who are from the School of Infocomm Technology got to hear from seasoned industry practitioners on the latest trends and happenings in cybersecurity, from the likes of Tammie Tham, Chairman, Cybersecurity Chapter, Donald Wee, Director, Data Terminator and Wayne Ng, Security Researcher, Kaspersky Lab Singapore.

Wilson Lau, Assistant Director, Senior Lecturer, School of Infocomm Technology, Ngee Ann Polytechnic said: “It is a fruitful event which the students get to hear and network with industry people in cybersecurity.”

Sua Wan Xin, Lead, Industry Alliance, SGTech quipped, “We thank SIM for hosting and sharing with the students. Certainly, we look forward to more such collaboration opportunities in the future”.
