2023 SIM OAC Korea - Event Highlights

Annyeonghaseyo! We have just concluded the last Overseas Alumni Chapter (OAC) event this year and we are delighted to share the joyous moments from our last stop in Korea. The OAC Korea event took place on the enchanting night of 9 November 2023, at L7 Gangnam Hotel Floating Restaurant. This event marked a significant milestone as our first-ever alumni gathering in Korea!

The night began with a heartfelt welcome from Mr. Justin Seow, Senior Lead from Regional Recruitment, establishing the atmosphere for an evening filled with camaraderie and celebration. Justin's opening remarks emphasized the importance of our alumni community and the unique connections forged through shared experiences.

Adding a touch of excitement and anticipation, we organised ice-breaking games, fun quizzes, and attractive lucky draw, fostering an atmosphere of laughter and shared moments. Followed by buffet dinner provided a delightful opportunity for alumni to connect, exchange stories, and build new friendships.

We were privileged to invite Mr. Lee Hoo Young, an Investment Banking Associate from Samsung Securities as our distinguished alumni speaker. He generously shared his inspirational journey and experiences, guiding us through his transformative transition "From SIM to the World." Hooyoung's stories resonated with our alumni, offering valuable insights into overcoming the difficulties and challenges encountered when studying abroad.

As we reflect on this inaugural event, we are grateful to each attendee for contributing to the success of the evening. Your presence made this historic occasion truly special, and we are thrilled to witness the beginning of a vibrant alumni community in Korea.
