The MSc Finance and Investment Banking programme objective is to provide graduates with advanced knowledge of finance and to prepare them for careers in investments banking and financial advisory. The program covers the fundamentals of corporate and market finance, and advanced topics in investment analysis, financing strategies, and financial modelling.        
          
The program will foster employability as students study in a multicultural environment and learn from international professionals and academic experts the skills that are sought after by top employers globally.
 

CFA® Institute University Affiliation programme

The MSc Finance and Investment Baking programme provides an excellent preparation for the Chartered Financial Analyst®* (CFA®) exams, as it is based on the CFA® Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and is part of the CFA® Institute University Affiliation program. In addition, the program includes a specific CFA® exam preparation module.

Curriculum

Structure

  • The programme is a combination of blended and face-to-face lectures, discussions and presentations.
  • Lecturers: GEM faculty and SIM local lecturers

  • Average teacher-student ratio: 1:40
  • Exemptions: Nil
  • Weekly schedule: Between Monday and Friday at three or six hours per session. Saturday classes may occasionally be scheduled if required
  • Class timing for on-campus classes: 8.30am / 12.00pm / 3.30pm, held on SIM campus unless otherwise stated
  • Minimum class size to commence: 20 students
    If the class fails to commence due to low take-up rate, applicants will be informed within one month before programme commencement with the refund of application fee.

Requirements to Graduate

  • Students must successfully complete the taught modules and meet the conferral requirements of the programme.
  • The degree awarded and the degree certificate will be the same as that awarded in France.

1. May be completed at a distance (not in SIM) and in parallel with approved internship or full-time employment.
2. Minimum of 13 weeks (either internship or full-time employment) in a finance-related position anywhere in the world. To complete after all taught classes.

Admission Criteria

Accepted Entry Qualifications

Existing student of the Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) MSc Finance and Investment Banking programme who has completed the 1st year of the 2-year MSc Finance and Investment Banking programme as determined by GEM.

Fees & Financial Aid 

Payment to SIM can be made through SIMConnect using Credit Card (Visa or Master), PayNow, eNETS, OCBC Interest-free Instalment Plan (min. S$500) and cheques.
 

Programme Fees

This programme accepts only inbound exchange students from Grenoble Ecole de Management. Exchange students are not required to pay tuition fees to SIM.
