Value
The award is $3,000 per awardee.
Eligibility Criteria
- Part-time SIM GE students pursuing Undergraduate or Postgraduate programmes
- Final semester students or within 1 year of graduation
- Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident/International Student
- Good testimonial from current employer
- Good academic results at SIM
- Well written essay detailing past achievement at work, future ambition after completing studies, also citing situations where you have displayed resilience in overcoming difficulties
Application Period
Applications open twice a year:
March application: 1 March to 30 April
September application: 1 September to 31 October

The application form will be available during the next application period in 2025.
Supporting Documents
Applicants are to prepare and submit the following documents together with your application form:
- ID (e.g. NRIC)
- Testimonial from current employer (on company’s letterhead)
- Academic Transcript
- Essay on work contribution, future ambition, and life situations where applicant displayed resilience to overcome setbacks in life
We will contact you via email if further documents are needed to support your application.
Additional Information
- Awardee will be required to attend a ceremony to receive the certificate and plaque from the Chairman of SIM.
- Recipients of the award may be showcased in SIM’s publications, such as Annual Report, or SIM’s website and social media platforms. Recipients may also be featured in local news articles.
- The decision of SIM Global Education is final and we do not enter into any correspondence on the award of the Chairman’s Award for Resilience (including the reasons for not awarding). We reserve the right to vary the terms and conditions of the Chairman’s Award for Resilience without prior notice.
The collection of personal data such as the National Identification Document (NID) and other supporting documents are required to facilitate the processing of applications, including verifications of the identities of applicants.
