Passionate SIM Peer Mentors at Outreach 2018
March is often a stressful time for many students because of the upcoming final exams and project assignment deadlines. Little things like an encouragement and relaxing activities are needed during this time. SIM Peer Mentors, a community of students who are passionate about helping other fellow students, recently held an outreach event from 21 to 23 March 2018, themed ‘Staying Strong Together'.
During this three-day event, peer mentors reached out to their friends by conducting some meaningful activities. The event succeeded in gathering 300 attendees at SIM GE (Block B, Level one).
Through this event, SIM GE Peer Mentors hope the students will be able to cope well with their studies and personal lives during this busy month. The aim is to also raise awareness of SIM Peer Mentors, and to get the message across that they will always be there and ready to offer peer support to students.
Hearing from our students:
“Peer Mentors are awesome! My friend's day will be made with this welfare pack!”
Khin Su Su Kyaw, SIM GE - University of London
“It was really useful and informative. It enabled me to understand how to help my friend better.”
Andrew Lee, SIM GE - University at Buffalo

Peh Yun Ping, SIM GE - University at Buffalo
